A “trademark opposition” is when someone challenges a trademark within 4 months of it being advertised. This challenge can be made by any person or organization, including individuals, companies, partnerships, or trusts. The person opposing the trademark doesn’t need to have a business interest or a previously registered trademark to file an opposition.
